Learn bonsai from world-reknown bonsai artist Mauro Stemberger!
Starting in the Fall of 2020 Mauro will begin his first international school of bonsai in Chicago. Learn the unique ways of Mauro as he takes you through the steps to becoming more understanding of the art of bonsai.
He will accept 10 participants to join him twice a year (Fall and Spring) for three years to earn his "Certified Bonsai Artist" certificate.
Every class will take you deeper into his knowledge of bonsai and help elevate your bonsai artistry.
The cost for a three day, Fri., Sat., Sun. class is $700. Your commitment will be for three years, twice a year to gain the full knoweldge of Mauro's bonsai approach.

FIRST YEAR: Wiring techniques
a. Basic
b. Advanced
i. Deciduous
ii. Coniferous
c. Branch vs size technique
The work will be part theorical part technical done by groups and individual.
Repotting session (spring of every year)
a. Deciduous
b. Coniferous and evergreen
c. Trees in development or with completed design
On the last day of work, of the second session, every participant will present a project (participants will work a tree alone and at the end will get a valuation with tips and advices to improve for year after)
And at the end of the second session every participant will get a certificate (First year)

a. Trunk
b. Major branch using raffia, carving and wire cage.
The work will be part theorical part technical done by groups and individual.
